"September 2010"

I know its been a while since I wrote or posted anything... A lot has gone on... I finally got a job, hooray and already settled in my new place in Colorado Springs, Co. Its a lovely place if you like nature and stuff but there is also the city which can get pretty hectic. Also the people stare a lot. This town in a military city in which we have Ft. Carson, Ft. Peterson and the Air Force Academy and if you go up North passing Denver you can go to Fort Collins. It's nice being in a military city but at the same time it gets me sad. I see all kinds of soldiers with their uniform and I just think of my husband Garett an how I miss him so much.

The reason why I put this picture along with this entry is because its how I feel. All the different colors are the different emotions I'm feeling.... Red= love and passion for my husband, Green= jealous of those who can spend the time with their husbands and don't appreciate, Yellow= excited for new friendships, Orange= ready to learn, Blue= needing peace of mind and a calm soul, Purple= nervous of the unknown, white= wanting to be purified from sin, Gray=loneliness and sadness, the flakes on the skin= I'm missing my other half that glues me solid...

Yeah all this may sound weird but it makes sense to me... I just wanted to give you a brief up date ... I know it doesn't have lots of pictures but I'll post more up dates later when I get the chance...

"Updates are on their way"

So its been a long time since I've updated my blog but its gonna be short and sweet. I just moved to Colorado and I currently don't have the internet but thanks to Borders and On the Border Mexican Grill they allow their customers to have free internet services... Thank you so much!!! As for me I haven't been able to get all updated but updates will come... I promise!!!

I do recommend to stop at these places and purchase some of their items to support them and their business... Now and days people are greedy and don't allow customers to use free internet... Thank you so much for all you do Borders and On the Border Mexican Grill... I'll post update soon...

"Our get-away "

So we spent a few days with the family and my father-in-law suggested that we should have a get-away for a few days then come back... So that's exactly what we did... We didn't know Colorado too well so we just drove and stopped at random little towns and walked around... As we drove around we saw this place that led to a giant bridge we were gonna walk through it but we decided to drive on and to come back to it on our way home....

we didn't end up coming back to see this event but maybe another time we can take a day to see this beautiful bridge along with the other tourist spots ......

Here we go!!!! So after the Garden of the God's we decided to drive around the mountains and see the great views... We had a blast jeeping in our Father-in-law's jeep along with the family... We stopped and went to different spots to take pics and stuff ...

"Garden of the Gods"

We decided to go to the Garden of the Gods which is very beautiful... We didn't stay there too long since it started to rain while we were there. But here are some pictures of our quick look around....We had such a wonderful time...

"updates"

I know I haven't updated my blog in quiet a while. My husband came home for his r&r and so that says it all... So for the next 3 or 4 or more entries I'll be writing about our time together till the day he left back to Afghanistan :-(

California lov'n

So it was a quick trip to Cali but I loved every single moment of it... I spent a day or two with my mom and then I drove up 4 more hours to see my sister and rest of the family... Driving 10 hours to my mom's house then four more hours was well worth it.. I love my family and I can't wait for my husband Garett to finally meet them. I know he only knows them as a missionary but now its totally different... Driving those long hours by myself I had a ton of time to think about things... One of the things I thought about was my family and how I was eager to see them.. I haven't seen them since the beginning of December of last year... Another thing that I was thinking about was my future family with my husband Garett.. I know he's gonna be such a good daddy and I can't wait for that day to come to see him hold one of our future babies in his arms.. I also thought about the kind of mother I was gonna be and how I look forward towards motherhood... What a blessing is must be to be a mother...

"Getting back into shape"

So time is ticking and I feel so bad because I haven't gone to the gym since December..I also feel like I've gained weight and thats the last thing I want especially since my husband is coming home for his R&R soon. Well I started going back to the gym since last week so I've made it a week. Hooray!! That the first step in the right direction.. Now once May starts I will implement a better diet... I'm gonna keep a eating journal along with counting my calories... I'm not gonna be so hard on myself on the whole Calorie thing but I am gonna try to stay below 1200 Calories since that's what my body normally burns on it own... I'm gonna substitute all the bad junky foods for all the good foods but I'm only gonna grant myself 2 free days of the month to eat whatever I want, if I do well... If I slack off then I wont grant myself those 2 days... Also when Garett comes for his R&R the diet is off at least for those two weeks... lol ;-) Hopefully I'll beable to look good and feel better by the time Garett comes back from Deployment... Wish me luck on my journey to get back into shape..

"Beautiful Surprise"

So it was one awful Wednesday at work... The systems were down and we had a bunch of stuff to do...I work at a bank and so our job depends on computers to run transactions ... We had to give out handwritten receipts and then once the systems were up we would run all the transactions we did... The systems were down until one in the afternoon... which was forever for our systems for being down... I couldn't believe how awful the day was going... It was raining with some slushy snow along with it... Then during my 3o min lunch I drove over to the post office to ship off some surprise packages for my husband.. Then all of a sudden when I was paying to ship off the packages my phone rings and its my husbands.. I didn't want to tell him that I was surprising him and shipping 3 packages but anyone who knows me, knows I can't lie for crap... So I had to tell him I was shipping him packages... Yeah I know I suck at telling lies and keeping things from him...lol!!! So after that I go back to work and when I do I see these beautiful Flowers on my desk... I was so surprised and touched by them that I just wanted to cry cause I really wasn't expecting Garett to send me flowers.... I wish he was there when I got them so I could hug him and give him kisses...

I felt so special and so loved...

I don't think I will ever forget this jester of love... I miss him so much and I wish he was here with me... But I know duty calls and I'm so excited for him to come for his R&R.... I love you So much Garett Andrew Gebhart jr. !!!!!

"last slumber party"

So after the tulip festival we decided to have a little slumber party... We made some fresh strawberry virgin daquiries meaning "NO ALCOHOL!" We both don't drink Alcoholic beverages due to our religious beliefs... Any who we had Doritos our strawberry drinks and a good movie to watch...

So the reason why this will be our last slumber party is because I'm married and Marci is gonna get married in May... When my husband called me he was so funny!!! He said how old are you now??? Then he said honey just to let you know when I get home we are not having slumber parties at our house... It will just be me and you and nobody else.... I giggled and said of course baby... Don't you worry it will be just me and you ;-) I love you Garett Andrew Gebhart and I miss you so much !!! Stay Safe my dear husband!!!
