"Ward Camp Out"

So my Ward had a camp out trip in which I don't really consider it as camping since we were in Cabins. But yeah don't mind the small picture on the top, it came from my phone. Any who the Church has a girls camp set up for the young women in which we were able to stay in. All the areas to camp where named after strong women in the gospel. We stayed in campsite 6 called Rebekah. It was a lot of fun to just get out and enjoy nature. It was only a one night, considering we had to be home on Saturday evening so we could be prepared for the Sabbath.
This is the cabin I stayed in with the other sisters in my ward

Rachel unpacking her air mattress
Christina all done setting up her bed
just a picture of inside the cabin
My bed all set up for me to sleep
Christina and Bishop Patterson
My bishop and I ... The picture isn't that great but the person who took it had trouble not shaking their hands.
They had given us glow stick to play with so we sported them with style!

Then we headed out to the camp fire and I was roasting marshmallows.
I even roasted starbursts, in which I must say they were delicious!

The fire was hot and Christina had her shoes around the cement of the fire. It wasn't a good idea, cause she melted the bottom of her shoes.... How sad!!!! lol

"Latin Festival 2009"

So after a few hard weeks, we decided to relax and go out and do something. So Christina and I went to the Latin Festival. At the Latin Festival they had stands of food from different latin American countries. They also perform different dances from those countries and also have music or a bands playing in between those dances. It was fun to run into old friends and people from my mission.
So here am I by the stage where they perform

Sister Swallow one of the sisters from my mission
Sister Smails (I think I may have spelled her name wrong)
but she's another sister from my mission
Sister Olsen one of my last companions on my mission
Here's a great example of some of the food that was there. Mangos on a stick with chile y limon. Yummy!!! They also had taquitos and esquites and elotes with  chile and  queso!!!

Trip to Fort Campbell

So this was a quick trip to go and see my boyfriend Garett. Garett is in the Army and he's active duty so he lives on base. Right now he's stationed in Fort Campbel which half of it is in Kentucky and the other half of the base is in Tennessee. I arrived on Friday night and had to leave Sunday evening so I didn't have as much time as I wanted. These pictures were taken on a Saturday afternoon and just to let you know my boyfriend hates taking pictures. I tried to take some pictures of him but he was acting like a punk and erased them. So here are just a few of the pictures I was able to take.
Here's me driving the rental car that caused us to waste some time trying to jump start it! What a great experience! Now I know how Garett would act in a situation like this. In which I think he handled the situation pretty good. It was funny cause he thought I would be upset in which I was totally calm about it.
Here's one of the signs going into the base

This is another sign going into the base... It reads 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)
Here's another picture of me and the car.... In which the keys got stuck in the ignition and our stuff was locked in the trunk!!! I'm still surprised the dumb seats didn't pull forward and we could get into the trunk that way. The good thing about this car was that it was good on gas...
It was a 2009 Pontiac
Now these pictures are from inside the base......

These pictures down here are of Clarksville, Tn
We went down town to go and have lunch and just to walk around and check these little shops out.

So yeah this was my quick trip there. I know I didn't write too much about all the little details but thats for me to remember.....
